Back from St. Maarten

Our trip to St. Maarten turned out to be even nicer and more exciting than anyone had anticipated. We stayed at the Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino - in their premier oceanview balcony rooms. We all have lovely rooms on the 7th and 8th floors offering spectacular views. We were so close to the St. Maarten Juliana Airport as we could watch all the airplanes land and take off at close range. People would line up along the fence and be blown into the ocean when the large airplanes took off.
The Dutch side of the island has a vibrant nightlife. Many of our group visited Soprano's piano bar and the Roof Top Sky Garden - both which were next door to our hotel and were fun and entertaining night spots.
A most enjoyable day excursions was taking the Bluebeard catamaran to the British West Indies island of Anguilla. The beaches there are spectacular and the people so friendly and hospitable.
I would go back to St Maarten in a heartbeat.
